Tanzania’s Western Circuit is the country’s most remote circuit, made up of several national parks, including Gombe Stream National Park, Mahale National Park, and Katavi National Park. The parks are home to a variety of wildlife, and sightings are guaranteed year-round. The Western Circuit is accessible by light aircraft or boat, with flights starting from Arusha, Dar es Salaam, or Zanzibar.
The Western Circuit also includes rare roan and sable antelope species, hippos, giraffes, elephants, leopards, zebras, and possibly even lions.
